Florida Forest Festival

The 56th Annual Florida Forest Festival will be held October 22nd at Forest Capital State Park right here in Perry. The event will kick off on Thursday October 20th with an amazing fireworks show at the Perry-Foley Airport. The next day, Friday night, the eve before the big day will include events downtown such as the Kid's Parade, the Strutt Your Mutt Contest, Classic Car Gas Light Parade and the Sock Hop Dance event. Festival Day (Saturday) will start off with the Annual King Tree Parade at 10:00 a.m. downtown Perry. At the park, craft vendors will open at 9:00 a.m. when the park opens. Join us for great stage entertainment by country legend David Ball, and the following bands: Southern Rain, Alibi, the Sing Out Loud Competition at 6:00 p.m. and a special closing concert at 7:00 p.m. by Broken Trust. Lumberjack shows, chain-saw, loader and cross-cut saw competitions, equipment show, Heritage Village with craft demonstrators, the WORLD'S Largest FREE Fish Fry at 12:00 noon and much more! The event is free for all who would like to attend! Reserved parking is available.
